The Center for Leadership and Innovation (CLI) is an integral part of the College of Business, delivering the region's premier executive and technology education programs and providing a focal point for applied, consultative research in support of the business community of Southwest Florida. Located in Lutgert Hall on the FGCU Campus, the Center houses various faculty-led applied research Institutes.
The Lucas Institute for Real Estate Development and Finance
The Lucas Institute for Real Estate Development and Finance facilitates the delivery of the academic real estate programs housed within the Lutgert College of Business. Funded through the generous support of David and Linda Lucas, the Lucas Institute serves as the primary linkage between the FGCU College of Business and the real estate industry in Southwest Florida. The goal of the Lucas Institute is to develop and deliver academic programs of nationally recognized quality that will strengthen all segments of the Southwest Florida real estate industry. Regional Economic Research Institute
The Regional Economic Research Institute (RERI) was developed to perform economic research, analysis, and forecasting for both the region and the individual economic development organizations in this area. The structure of the RERI includes partnership with the Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council and the area economic development offices. The Institute for Entrepreneurship
The mission of the Institute for Entrepreneurship is to foster entrepreneurial spirit and enhance entrepreneurial success. We accomplish this by linking FGCU's academic program in Entrepreneurship to the surrounding community. This linkage provides students with support, encouragement, and practical experience. Institute for Advances in Human Resources
The Institute for Advances in Human Resources (IAHR) is a resource for Southwest Florida's human resource management community. It integrates a variety of human resources programs, forums, certificates, and advanced developmental activities. In achieving this goal, the Institute will seek to be a leader in integrating scholarship and practice to the benefit of the College of Business, its faculty and students, and the business community. Activities and programs offered include certificate programs as an HR generalist, partnerships, roundtable forums, seminars and workshops on a wide array of HR activities, salary surveys, day-long HR conferences and grant-based HR research. Institute of Business & Professional Ethics
The Institute of Business and Professional Ethics aims to help advance the state of business ethics practices through practical organizational and professional outreach applications, student education activities, and formal academic research. The institute's goals include serving as a resource to the community regarding effective ethics practices in organizations, expanding ethics education and awareness among FGCU faculty and students, and expanding research into effective ethics teaching and effective ethics-related practices in business organizations.
