  • Doing Business with Lee County as a DBE seminar February 22, 2007.
A special "Thank You" to Janet Sheehan, Director Lee County Purchasing, Paul Valenti, Manager Lee County Office of Equal Opportunity, Cindy Logan, Manager Lee County Contracts and Management and Julio Rodriguez, DBE Manager Lee County Port Authority.

    Networking at its best!
Pam Oakes of Pam's Motor City Automotive attended this program even though she's been a Certified DBE for approximately 4 years now and has attended this very program several times before . . . at the end of the seminar she came to me and said the reason why she registered for this seminar once again was "to re-connect with the Lee County Government Reps, to learn something new and/or any changes in the Lee County procurement process" . . . and that is exactly what she got. She got answers to an automotive contract she had been looking into, not just from a specialist, but from the Lee County Purchasing Director, and she was able to meet a new contact, Julio Rodriguez, the new Port Authority DBE Manager . . . This was networking at its best . . . that face-to-face so important human element of doing business. Congratulations to Pam and all the minority small business entrepreneurs who attended this free seminar.
